आखिरी नहीं हो सकती जो कोशिश नाकाम रही
ज़िंदा है तो हार की मौत मरता क्यों है
चट्टान का सीना काट सकता है अकेला मांझी
रख भरोसा खुद पर शक्क करता क्यों है
भरने दे ख़्वाबों के परिंदों को बेपरवाह उड़ान
बुरे हालातों की हक़ीक़त से डरता क्यों है
आज जो कर रहे हैं तुझे मिलने से इन्कार
गवाही देंगे इतिहास में तेरा नाम उभरता क्यों है
तेरे क़दमों के निशाँ चूमेंगी नस्लें आने वाली
उनकी उम्मीदों के लिए चल ठहरता क्यों है
