बेहोशी भी काफी है ज़िंदा रहने के लिए मगर
होश में आयें तो तेरा करीब होना ज़रूरी है

बात निकले जहाँ में इश्क़ की जब भी
महफ़िल में ज़िक्र तेरा होना ज़रूरी है

–

नाशुक्रा ना बना दे तुझे पाने की ख़ुशी हमें
दिल में तेरी जुदाई की तड़प होना ज़रूरी है

–

इक तरफ़ा इश्क़ की बन जाते बड़ी मिसाल हम
कम्भख्त, तुझे चाहने के लिए भी तेरी इजाज़त होना ज़रूरी है

–

बेइन्तेहाँ पन्ने भर देते तेरी इबादत में हम
डरते हैं इन नज़्मों का तेरे लायक होना ज़रूरी है
