Ghazal in Hindi: गुनहगार (Israel-Hamas War)

Ghazal in Hindi Building Rubble

गुनहगार, this ghazal in hindi is a grim reminder and an expression of helplessness which engulfs me as I continue to hear about stories from the war zone. Russia-Ukraine started last year and Israel-Hamas war started this year. The end for neither of those seems near. It seems far fetched and rather painful that in this modern era, there is still a space where humans are killing each other. Differences over geography and religion continue to ignite emotions and burn down lives. Alas, looks like we have read history of world wars, repented and berated those but yet, humanity continues to witness killing – some directly in the wars and at other times in incidents of mass shootings and terrorist activities.

How will we justify our actions to the future generations? As we dump the weight of our actions today on their trembling shoulders.

Here it goes: गुनहगार a ghazal in hindi, a reflection on Israel-Hamas war
