दबी हसरतों को तुम हक़ीक़त बना कर देखो

सच की फीकी थाली में झूठ छिड़क कर देखो
कहानी के किरदारों को रंगीन बना कर देखो

अंधेरे में सूरज की तेज़ रौशनी मिला कर देखो
जवान इश्क़ से रात का पर्दा हटा कर देखो

सफेद पन्नों पर काली स्याही के रंग लगा कर देखो
उनके चेहरे पर गिरी जुल्फें उंगलियों से हटा कर देखो

पानी की लपटों पर आग की बूँदें गिरा कर देखो
मेरी प्यास से तुम अपनी प्यास बुझा कर देखो

सब्र को बेसब्री के तराज़ू में तोल कर देखो
एक रात के लिए मुझे अपना बना कर देखो
