Hindi Poetry: चेहरा

This hindi poetry चेहरा is a dedicated to all those who remembered someone they miss by looking at someone else. We try to project the faces onto others, or sometimes strangers remind us of the people whom we miss or care for. We wish that our dear ones just appear in front of us. I find myself doing this often! I keep hoping and looking for people who I wish were around me.

Here it goes: Hindi Poetry, चेहरा

दिल करता है सामने आ जाये वो
चेहरा जो तस्वीर बन आँखों में बसा है

तलाशते हैं उन्हें भूल जाना चाहिए जिन्हें
संभलने में कहाँ जो बहकने में मज़ा है

कहने को कई बातें तो हैं दिल में
सच बोलने की मगर यहाँ मिलती सज़ा है

वो भी तो छोड़ते नहीं मौका हमें तड़पाने का
रुकें कैसे जब बहकने में उनकी रज़ा है

वफ़ा की उम्मीद करते हैं वो हम से
जिनके होठों पर नाम कोई और सजा है
