छोड़ जाते हैं छाप दिल की गहरायी में जो
मरने के बाद भी ज़माने में उनका रुतबा बढ़ता है
दुश्मन से कहो ललकार बुलंद आवाज़ में लगाए
कांपती गुर्राहट से शेर का क्या बिगड़ता है
यूँ तो थकता नहीं तारीफ करते हमारी
वो दोस्त पीठ पीछे ज़हरीले सांप उगलता है
नहीं जानते हम सलीका दोस्ती निभाने का मगर
दुश्मनी की रिवायतों से पाला काफी पड़ता है
मुक़ाबले का मज़ा है गर टक्कर बराबरी की हो
अपने मुशायरे में वो ग़ज़लें हमारी पढ़ता है
